Alonso sees fairness as drugstore draw with Wolfsburg

Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso believes the 0-0 draw with Wolfsburg was fair, even though it left the “Pharmacists” eight points behind Bayern Munich.

Alonso said after the game: “It was a very competitive game. Both sides had their chances. We changed the game in the second half and it worked.”

“To have a good impact, it was a game we should have won, but I think the result was fair enough.”

Alonso has now gone 27 Bundesliga away games unbeaten, equalling the all-time record set by Bayern Munich legend Udo Lattek.
