Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has praised Philippe Coutinho for his performance in his debut game.
Lionesses open home draw with Manchester United 2-2 in the Premier League on Saturday past. In that game, Villa were two goals behind but had a strong kick at the end of the game. Makes the team now at 13.
After the game, Gerrard spoke about new signing ‘Coutie’ who came on as a substitute before scoring one goal ufabet and one assist.
“It’s a good start. We bring quality footballers to the club. We want to increase the speed of his game acumen.
“We conceded a goal from the moment of the game but didn’t feel sorry. We still show personality and confidence . I have no problem with people making mistakes. Because they are making mistakes trying to get to the right thing. But I can’t accept the results of the first 25 minutes and the way we played.”
Coutinho never lived up to expectation after swapping Liverpool for Catalonia, a £142 million transfer that ranks among the most disastrous in history.
He was even loaned out to Bayern Munich for the 2019/20 campaign, but things are finally starting to look brighter for him and Gerrard was, understandably, full of praise for him in his post-match interview.
